This morning I had a gut feeling to just get up and get my walk in, at a 4% incline… but I chose to stay in bed to sleep just a little bit longer. One of these days I will be disciplined enough to get past that choice of just staying in bed a bit longer.

Today’s workout is walking 3mph at a 4% incline. Will most likely do this for an hour since I barely took any steps earlier today.
Breakfast: Dave’s Killer Bread Everything Epic Bagel with 1 hard egg, 1 thin slice of provolone cheese, diced tomatoes and creamy mayo/horseradish. I also had 2 clementine oranges.
Lunch: Crustless taco pie with a small avocado and fresh salsa on top.
Dinner: Haystack! This is ground beef/pork, carrots, potatoes, onions, tomato soup, cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soups – very filling! This picture is from last night, but I put a little bit more in the bowl tonight. Recipe here.
Snacks: No snacks today!
A few things I’m still keeping an eye out on:
- Amount of sugar in a serving – if it’s more than 4g, I am being cautious
- Amount of protein in a serving – I’m aiming for at least 20g of protein per serving each meal
- Amount of fiber in a serving – I’m doing my best to aim for 20g of fiber each day, but that sure can be difficult!
- If I have a sweet tooth craving, I turn on the keurig and add creamer to my cup of coffee
