The scale didn’t change today but that is OK. My average weight for the last 7 days is less than it was last week and as my coach has been telling me, as long as we see a downward trend, that is what matters.
Weigh In: 166.4
This time last week: 166.6
Activity: Instead of doing another 5k (running/walking it), I am walking 3.1 miles in addition to everything else I’ve been doing today, which did include pulling weeds, so my hamstrings have gotten a bit of a workout today!
Breakfast: 1/2 Dave’s Killer Bread Epic Everything bagel with low fat cream cheese, smoothie with ice, spinach, 1 apple, 1 banana, almond milk, and 1 egg with cottage cheese, onions and feta cheese on top.
Snack: None.
Lunch: Whole wheat with flax seed wrap with buffalo chicken from the deli counter, 1 thin slice of colby jack cheese, lettuce, onions, 1 TBSP light mayo and 1 avocado with imitation lobster bites, onions, and light mayo.
Dinner: Bunless jalapeno burger with onions, tomato, homemade mexican ranch on the side, home cut french fries – if you ever visit the U.P. of Michigan, The Buckhorn in Trout Lake is a wonderful place to stop in. Not just for the food, but also the amazing staff and cold drinks! I was not able to eat all the fries, but the burger tasted as good as always! The best you’ll ever have!

Water is very important – especially if you are moving around a lot! My goal typically is to have three 32 oz mugs of ice water by the time I go to bed. If I walk over 12k steps, I’m definitely aiming to drink more water than that.
A few things I’m keeping an eye out on:
- Amount of sugar in a serving – if it’s more than 4g, I am being cautious
- Amount of protein in a serving – I’m aiming for at least 20g of protein per serving each meal
- If I have a sweet tooth craving, I turn on the keurig and add creamer to my cup of coffee
Last week, each day I was losing weight – it wasn’t a lot, but I could see there was progress! This is why I want to share with everyone what I am doing and I welcome any constructive comments as well.
**I am not a nutritionist or personal trainer by any means and my results can very much vary from anyone else’s. Please keep that in mind and feel free to share this blog with friends!
