On the tenth day of December we opened a porter and an ale.

My boyfriend opened the Goose Parka Porter, brewed by Goose Island Beer Co. in Chicago, Illinois.  This one definitely has a bitter taste to it.  At 5.3% ABV, this is one that we would definitely pass on putting in our shopping cart if we happened to see it in the store.

Anytime I open up a beer that is pumpkin, I get excited… sometimes those are good and other times they aren’t.  This Pumpkin Ale Schlafly is brewed by The Saint Louis Brewery, LLC in St. Louis, Missouri.   At 8% ABV, this is definitely a favorite of mine.  If you are a fan of pumpkin beer that isn’t overspiced, this is one to definitely pick up.
