On the 6th day of December we opened a Coffee Baltic Porter and a Hazelnut Brown Nectar beer.
My boyfriend opened the Crooked Stave Coffee Baltic Porter that is aged with Artisan Coffee Beans. It is a nice, smooth tasting beer with good flavor and balance. It is brewed by Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project in Denver, Colorado. At 8% ABV, this is a beer that would be bought if we saw it in the store.
For my beer, it is the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar brewed by Rogue Ales in Newport, Oregon and is 5.6% ABV. The smell wasn’t much but when I took that first sip, I could definitely taste the hazelnut, which was not a bad thing. I was very impressed by this beer and would definitely pick up a 6 pack if I ran across it in the store.
So far we have had different beer than what we’ve had before which is good… it helps us determine what we really like and what we really are not a fan of.
