We woke up on the 4th day of December to a pretty chilly morning here in the UP of Michigan.
When it came time to open our next beer, my boyfriend opened another milk stout and my eyes lit up when mine was a pumpkin beer.
The coffee milk stout is called Arabicadabra by Bell’s Brewery in Comstock, Michigan and for those of you that like milk stouts, this one is worth a try. It has a good balance and smooth taste. When we went grocery shopping last weekend and my boyfriend saw the six pack of this beer all I could think is to not pick it up because I knew I had gotten a couple for our advent box. At 5.5% ABV, we may grab the six pack next time we see this in the store.
The pumpkin beer is brewed by Crown Valley Brewing out of Ste Genevieve, Missouri. This is a stout brewed with pumpkins and spices and you can definitely taste those spices! It mentions how it has a little spice and notes of toffee and chocolate. At 10.6% ABV, this had somewhat of a smooth taste but I wouldn’t buy this at the store if I saw it. If you like pumpkin spices this is definitely one for you to try though!
