The dinner we had before drinking our last beer of the adult advent box was an interesting one – this is deer heart, salad, and a pasta.  The heart marinated for a few hours and I used a similar marinade that I use with any other meat (red wine vinegar, beer, cumin, steak seasonings, Worcestershire sauce, etc.).  This was definitely different but was good.

The last beer we drank was one we shared and is from Ballast Point Brewing Company.  Mocha Marlin is the name of it and it wasn’t too bad.  At 6% ABV, it was a nice beer to share at the end of the night.
