On Monday, December 12th I decided to follow in my sister’s footsteps by seeing what I would be drinking later on in the day, first thing this morning. Since I’m glad that decision was made, a double IPA was on the agenda. As the day went on, I decided to make a new rule… if one of us unwraps a beer or shot and we know it is something we won’t like, we have to go buy a substitute of something we’ve not tried before.
On lunch today, that is what happened… found some single beers that I hadn’t tried yet, but have wanted to. Since I’m pretty sure other IPAs are going to be unwrapped, I grabbed what I knew hadn’t been tried. Once getting home from work, I blindly chose one of them.
Tonight’s beer is Late Night Karate Kicks by Charleville Vineyard Microbrewery in Ste. Genevieve, MO. This is a coffee stout ale with coffee added and to me it tastes more like watered down coffee. It does have 6.3% alcohol by volume. This is a good one to try out, if you are curious and may have a different opinion than I do.
My sister was able to take a break from her shots and drink one of my favorite chocolate stouts! Hopefully she’ll decide to really like this beer after drinking the good sized bottle she has to drink tonight. 🙂
